These notes explain a few places where Shelf depends on automation, outside links, community content, and service providers.

Shelf may use automated systems, including AI, to enrich saved links with summaries, tags, recipe ingredients, instructions, thumbnails, and other metadata.
These outputs are informational conveniences. They may omit context, misunderstand a source, or contain mistakes. Open the original source before relying on details that matter.
Shelf does not allow adult or 18+ material, including pornography, explicit sexual content, nude or sexual imagery, erotic content, adult services, or links whose primary purpose is adult-only content.
Shelf may use automated checks, including AI moderation, to reject, hide, strip, or remove content that appears to violate this policy. Automated moderation is imperfect and may miss some material or flag content incorrectly.
Shelf stores and displays links to third-party websites. Shelf does not control those websites and does not endorse every claim, product, instruction, or opinion that appears on them.
Third-party websites may have their own terms, privacy practices, tracking, subscriptions, prices, availability, and content rules.
Items on Shelf are usually shared by users or communities. Recommendations are personal opinions or references, not guarantees of quality, accuracy, safety, or fit.
Community visibility and moderation may change over time. Share only what makes sense for the people who can see it.
Recipe parsing and instructions may be incomplete. Check the original recipe, ingredient labels, allergens, cooking temperatures, and food safety guidance before preparing food.
Content involving medical, legal, financial, safety, parenting, nutrition, or other professional subjects is not professional advice.
Shelf may display links to products, books, services, subscriptions, or stores. Unless a specific page or link says otherwise, Shelf is not currently representing that a paid endorsement or affiliate relationship exists.
If Shelf adds affiliate links, sponsorships, paid placements, or other commercial relationships, they should be disclosed near the relevant content or in this disclosures page.
Shelf may use hosting, analytics, logging, and error-monitoring tools to understand traffic, diagnose issues, protect the service, and improve the product.
These tools should be configured to collect only what is reasonably needed for operating and improving Shelf.
